About Me

My name is Daniel Bañales. I build software and write Context Engineering Guru, a field guide to designing the context that makes AI agents reliable.

I’m a software engineer specializing in iOS. In 2025, my whole way of working changed: now I use coding agents every day. I’ve come to believe most of the problems developers hit with LLMs are fixable with proper context management. Working this way requires new mental models, though, which is why I started Context Engineering Guru: to make those ideas more accessible to other engineers.
